This last school week, we were asked by our research teacher tosearch for appropriate research topics to discuss on. And heres what ive searched, -what are the current challenges of every university libraries operations and how can they be met? -what can be obtained in fluency with practice? -what are the effects of technology as it progresses? - which is better, old or new lifestyles that are dormant now in the present? - what are the pros and cons of centralized technological processes? - what does the influence of change bring to the harmonious relationship of mankind and their thinking line?
As for my eco friendly acts, I helped in cleaning the environment by sweeping the floor, watering the plants, and turning off lights and fans when not in use. I also refrained from using the computer quite often to which I may nstead use a book for references and school researches.
I sure hope that I helped clean Mother Nature this last fun yet tiring week.

11/18/12 Low-Carbon Diet [LCD] Journal Entry #24: " A clean, green week "
This last school week, our teachers announced that the school will be having the annual Christmas celebration to be held on this December. Christmas is coming fast. Children are heard caroling every silent night. As Christmas is fast approaching, card giving also became a common cheer. In relation to that, recyclable materials are scattered everywhere. So, in order to maintain Mother Nature's cleanliness, I helped in picking garbages and disposing them properly in a trash bin. If the garbage are recyclable, I put them in a sack for later use. At home, I refrained from using electric fans and aircons for the air whirls a sense of Christmas spirit, in other term, coolness.
I sure hope that I helped clean Mother Nature as efficient as I can this last school week.

Insights and Reflection about the poem "Desiderata", written by Max Ehrmann
" If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself."; a line taken from the poem that lied amidst the unknown until now. Everyone has their distinct characteristic. As said, different paths to happiness has been forge for each one of us to walk on. Some maybe longer than the other, while the other may have been taking the pleasure of life which made it shorter. Some are taking you within the winding fate; as other may dive within the depths of despair. Neither way, we all but end in one same dream, our desired happiness. Why compare our weaknesses and strength among other that we may instead walk the path worryless and free? Many people think lowly as for themselves; as other prefers to be higher than the other. Would this make any difference? No. Well, it would if you concentrate too much about it. We are unique in terms of our own capabilities, and so are they. As such, why not suggest camaradery and walk unto the happiness whole accompanied?
While walking towards the ultimate dream, enjoy each success and achievement you have gained, as well as your mistakes and failure, accept them as they may. If ever it comes to the point you have gained much of what you've expected, bow your head and smile together with others. Remember the Pliant Bamboo that sways and bows it's trunk just to live and surpass the windy road. Otherwise, you would have been the source of despair and wind for others that may eventually fall and lose hope.
As you gain much experience, to the point that such challenges urges you to take the tempting sway of change, Do not. Be yourself as the poem suggested. You do not need to change in order for someone to accept you or neither do the circumstances. Be who you are, so that when you reach your dream, you shall feel a sense of fulfillment, analogous to the feeling when you first started walking unto the road.
Never lose faith unto the Lord while walking amidst the uncertainties. The Lord has sent you to fulfill your goal as such, you shall give your glory to Him forevermore. Whenever you encounter deep seas of dissapointment and sadness, don't lose hope. The Lord will never give you a challenge not suited for you. Cheer up, and face such sequence of events.
And last, what I learned from the poem, is that while you are still walking on this beautiful world of ours, never fail to smile and be happy. Do what you can to achieve your ultimate goal. "Strive to be happy", as the poem says.

11/11/12 Low-carbon diet (LCD) Journal entry# 23: "Fun yet tiring week"
This last school week, we were told to do many school works and activities; which in turn, made me feel that they really paid off my hardworking and perseverance in my studies. Aside from the activities, I also helped in cleaning mother nature in ways such as not littering anywhere and instead dispose trashes properly on any trash bin nearby. Alternatively, I also kept my trashes in my bag temporarily whenever a trash an is out of sight or is unavailable; hereafter, then I dispose them properly and whenever I can, recycle them by putting it in a sack container for future use. At home, I refrained from using electric fans and aircons for the weather was cool enough. Whenever I brush my teeth, I don't forget to use a glass in order to prevent further water spillage.
I sure hope that I helped clean mother nature as efficient as I can this last tiring yet wondrous week.

11/04/12 Low-Carbon Diet [LCD] Journal Entry #22: "Reminiscing Whats Lost"
This last week, we visited the grave of our beloved grandfather. We stayed there for almost a day, just to let ourselves feel the memories our grandfather has left for us to cherish. We played small games while we're there in order to diminish the sadness the atmosphere brung as we reminisce the past. After that, we went home. But! there are many garbages scattered all over the place so we might as well take the chance to clean it again.
Before this day, particularly at school, I helped in cleaning the environment by recycling the garbages thatt is reusable by putting them in a sack for later use. I also watered the plants inorder to help maintain nature's beauty. At home, I refrained from using any fans or air cons for the air itself was cool enough. I also use a glass whenever I brush my teeth in order to prevent further water spillage.
I sure hope that I helped clean Mother Nature even by the smallest point of mean to do it this last week.
